Let's go for a swim

Look how cute she is in her little swimsuit (recognize this, Carin). She enjoys getting in the water--not sure she knows what's going on yet though. Shh, just don't tell the doctor. "Thanks cousin Katherine for taking me in for a dip."

The cousins enjoying the warm weather in Aunt Peggy and Uncle Dan's pool (AKA the resort).

A Day in the Life of Megan

Look at that receding hairline! Megan's practicing her tummy time and is getting better at it. Sometimes she doesn't want anything to do with it, other times she just lies there, and there are the times that she's looking all around--like here. We try to get down on the floor at least a couple times a day.

"Where are you putting me??" We tried out the Bumbo and Megan did OK with it. It comes in handy when folding the laundry in her room. She really likes to be up and seeing what's going on around her, so we'll probably get good use out of this.

Eeyore tastes good! Megan discovered how to pick up things today and proceeded to lick Eeyore to death. Since then she has started reaching out to the hanging animals on her playmat too. She'll stare at them for hours (well, not that long) and touch them enough to activate the musical cat.

Hanging out at the beauty parlor with Grandma.....mom was getting a haricut while Grandma was drying. All the ladies there loved her and thought she was adorable.

Megan is baptized

Family and friends joined us on May 31, 2008 to baptize Megan at Santiago de Compostela Church, the parish we have attended since moving to Lake Forest. Mike's dad, Deacon Ralph, conducted the ceremony. Friends Donald Delay, Suzette Zaginailoff, and Matt Wethington are the godparents. Megan was so good and only fussed for a short time. Thank you to everyone who was able to help us celebrate this special day.

After the ceremony, we opened up our house for a reception. The construction gods were good to us because the patio was finished by that day. Much improved!

Happy Mother's Day

What a Mother's Day gift.....Megan slept from 11pm to 7am! What a pleasure not getting up at the crack of dawn.

We hosted Mother's Day for both sides of the family--5 moms and 9 people total. Mike BBQed (until the propane ran out) and ordered flowers for all the moms. Here's 4 generations of Bradys.
