Sunday outing

Couldn't resist. She's too cute in her little outfit. We're enjoying our first Concert in the Park. She did well, so we'll try it again.

Another family party!

With good reason. Most of the Colorado crew was here for the weekend....a joint 50th birthday party for Aunt Peggy and Uncle Dan. Megan and Mason met for the first time. Friday we took Megan to Disneyland for the first time with some of the family (but no pictures!). Well, next time since we have season passes again.

Whew...what a weekend!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. It was a busy weekend--starting bright and early on Friday. Megan ran her first race--the Lake Forest 5K. She was so excited that she slept through most of it! Mom on the other hand didn't remember 3 miles being so long. After the race and a morning nap, we checked out the Mission Viejo Street Fair. It was really hot, so we didn't last very long...maybe next year will be cooler. Megan got to meet another great grandma and great aunt (Sylvia and Marcia)...this time from the Ulibarri side. Nana, Papa, Sylvia, and Marcia came over in the afternoon for a BBQ and hanging out. Once the sun went down, the three of us walked over to the bluff next to our house to check out what fireworks we could see from there. We saw quite a few shows, but none of them were very close. Megan did great for about 45 minutes, then decided for us that it was time to go just as the Lake Forest display was starting, which was the closest to us. Oh well.


Saturday started by Megan watching mom and dad give blood at the Red Cross. She was a hit with the nurses. Then we had our friend Matt and his mom over for dinner. And what would be a holiday without a friendly game of Tripoly with the family....Megan is honing her skills here.

We had a lazy Sunday morning, but then traveled up to Nana and Papa's house in Torrance for one last visit with Great Grandma Sylvia and Aunt Marcia before they went back to Phoenix. One last BBQ to finish off the holiday weekend.
